Founded in 1977, Bread & Roses Community Fund is a unique partnership of donors and activists who share a vision of a just society, one in which power and resources are distributed equitably. Bread & Roses raises money from individuals to provide grants, technical assistance and leadership development to support community-based organizations in the Delaware Valley that are taking collective action to bring about social change.
The Funding Exchange is a growing network of 16 public foundations and a national office that together grant nearly $15 million annually to grassroots organizations working for social, racial, economic and environmental justice around the country. We are committed to the eradication of all social injustices. Through our innovative, activist-led grantmaking strategies, we support the systemic change work of both experienced and developing grassroots organizations within the broad movement for social justice.
The Appalachian Community Fund (ACF) is a publicly supported, non-profit grantmaking organization that provides resources and support to grassroots organizations working to overcome the underlying causes of poverty and injustice in Central Appalachia (East Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, Southwest Virginia and West Virginia).
